It’s hard to believe that the Boys vs. Girls show is over already- From cardboard it came, and to cardboard it shall return. The collaborative process- both within our team of awesome ladies, and with our male counterparts over at 1975- was a wonderful, fun, magical success. Thank you to all who participated, visited, and supported us along the way! Check out the photos below for a glimpse into the show.

We were also fortunate to have our half of the show put into words by the lovely and talented Becka Rafferty. We think what she came up with does the best job of summing up the little world that we created:
We are looking back at Before.
Before the mad, blinding rush of this life took hold
Before you insisted to us that you were something separate, boys
When there was just a flock of fledgling we
and unfettered possibilities
Swimming nameless and waiting to be formed by our tiny, certain hands.
Before distractions–
we instinctually budded toward the shining adventure of mystery
We didn’t dread or resent not knowing
because no provided answers means you’re in charge.
And we knew we are capable creators.
Before what could be settled firmly into what it seemingly must be.
We nourished ourselves with our minds
We’d shout and shapeshift,
race through realms invisible to a single other soul
Maybe make a pinprick viewfinder for another soul
So alien imaginations could seep in and dance with our own.
This is a loving glance over our full grown shoulders.
We are looking back,
seeking out where ourselves went hiding
And bringing discarded freedom into the light.
